Hi.

We are getting this error message when trying to export a pdf template with a dataset. Please can you advise what the issue might be?

Thanks

I also raised this point by contacting e2pdf via their contact us page. They replied very quickly.

They rplied...

"It could be caused by malformed "HTML". Check please the "HTML" elements placed inside E2Pdf Template via "Right Mouse Click" -> "Properties" -> "Value". If you will fail to find the issue, attach please the backup of the E2Pdf Template in response."

As the PDF was 36 pages long, I decided to identify which pages were broken. I started by deleting all pages but the 1st (*IMPORTANT without clicking update as this would premanently remove all the other pages*) and then clicked the preview button, then refreshed the page, deleted all but the 2nd page and then clicked the preview button, etc etc until I'd worked through all the pages and identified which had issues. If the preview loaded then that page was fine.

I then went through each field on the troublesome pages ijn the PDF and found some that were linking to old form elements that had changed from TEXT to SELECT and one where a html field had a UL element incorrectly nested. Once these were remapped/sorted everything worked fine.

Thank you support for the speedy response and pointing me in the right direction.
