Hi,

We've just purchased 1 template to test for now.

We are are a recruitment agency, and we have the clients editable PDF form, we want to put it on our website so candidates can fill it out on WordPress site, press submit, and it sends us a copy of the filled PDF.

I cant figure out how to even make the PDF template editable in E2? The PDF itself is already editable on the desktop version.

Hi,

Unfortunately, E2Pdf currently doesn't have its own forms functionality that could allow gathering users' data directly. It needs to use 3rd party form plugin to gather users' data and E2Pdf can fill your PDF with it. For example, it can be used Formidable Forms / Gravity Forms / Forminator.

In general, you will need:

1. Create a form that will gather user submissions

2. Create E2Pdf Template connected to this form.

* Instead of creating "Empty" or "Auto PDF, you will need to use "Upload PDF".

You can see some basic examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vDo0HiTaT8, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSs2lxZRfws

3. Map fields inside E2Pdf Template to the fields inside the Form. It can be done via "Right Mouse Click" -> "Map" or shortcodes can be inserted manually. Each form plugin has its own syntax.

4. After E2Pdf Template is saved, you will need to add the needed shortcodes as [e2pdf-download id="1"] to the "Success Message" or [e2pdf-download id="1"] / [e2pdf-attachment id="1"] to the "Mail Body" so E2Pdf can fill your PDF and display PDF download link or attach it to the email depending on the shortcode used.

We remain at your service.
We would really appreciate your feedback at WordPress.org!

Unfortunately no, E2Pdf currently doesn't have yet Everest Forms integration and it can't be used to fill PDF.

P.S. We will review the possibility of integration but unfortunately it's not a fast process.
